How long will the process take?
This answer to this question is better given as an estimate than as a definitive date. All projects are different, so there’s no one-size-fits-all formula that can produce a definite timeline. However, once you’ve hashed out the project and the designer knows what needs to be done, they should be able to give you a reasonable estimate as to the length of the process.
How many revisions will I get? When will I get them?
A revision is a change in the design of the website, specifically the layout of the website, or how it looks. The designer will provide you with a number of initial mock-ups, one of which you’ll approve to move forward with. A revision is a change in the mock-up on its way to the final version. Talk to your web designer about how many revisions you will get, and at what point in the project you’ll get them. The project will be able to progress much more smoothly when you know when the revisions are coming.
What if I want to make changes outside the revisions?
It’s not uncommon that you realize you want to make a change outside of the revision window. A flexible web design company will be able to make these changes, but know that there is a fee for doing so. While the company may not be able to provide the exact fee before they know what the changes are, they may be able to give you an estimate in terms of an hourly rate.
