Craig Kahl discusses how Adventure Web Interactive started and how he has worked diligently with his team to build the company and stay ahead of the web marketing curve. Mr. Kahl explains how AWI began as “an online retailer of board games” and how it quickly grew to become the technology-based marketing company it is today.
Mr. Kahl discusses how an understanding of the ever-changing web marketing and design landscape helps to put AWI ahead of the game. Mr. Kahl was once a divisional head of Pitney Bowes, who was once named as one of the top US Corporations to work for by Fortune magazine. He goes on to explain how he adapted their ideas of greatly rewarding employees for hard work and excellence to be a part of Adventure Web’s culture as well. While Pitney offered its employees incentives, Mr. Kahl found that its corporate atmosphere wasn’t right for his team. Instead, AWI employees get to enjoy great incentives with one another, as well as a spouse or guest. Mr. Kahl goes on to say, “Generally, we have found that family atmosphere, fantastic rewards and incentives for all employees instead of ice cream machines, cappuccino makers or a waterfront address make for happier and more dedicated employees.”
