Adventure Web Interactive at The SmartCEO’s Corporate Culture Awards 2016
Last week, Adventure Web Interactive attended the Corporate Culture Awards after winning the award honored by SmartCEO Magazine. The event was held at the IMET in downtown Baltimore, MD and featured several Baltimore companies recognized for their exceptional corporate culture. Every year, SmartCEO Magazine honors companies that foster a creative, collaborative workplace culture to enhance performance and sustain a competitive advantage. Adventure Web Interactive showed their inclusive and quirky spirit, arriving at the party wearing festive holiday sweaters. The company sponsored a “money grabbing booth” in which contestants had the chance to win prizes ranging from a Ruth’s Chris gift card to the chance to win $100,000. This was the Adventure Web’s second time receiving the award.
Adventure Web Interactive takes employees on multiple incentive trips each year, including ski weekends or outings to amusement parks. But the company’s biggest incentive is the “Presidential Award.” “We take employees and their spouses or guests to an island destination and stay at multimillion-dollar private villas,” says CEO Craig Kahl. At the villas, a full staff, including private chefs, wait on employees hand and foot. In addition, Adventure Web pays for employees to take classes and obtain certifications. “They are awarded bonuses when they reach new levels of knowledge,” says Kahl.
