John Dietz, a carpenter by trade, founded the C.C. Dietz Company in 1921. He was also a cigar maker. Luckily for homeowners in the York, PA area, John stuck with carpentry and when his son Charles took over, he decided to specialize in residential construction.
The next generation to follow suit was Charles’ son, Charles Jr., who took over the family business in 1949. Charles, or “Charlie” as he was known, continued residential construction and led the company into the commercial construction industry.
In 1982 Charles’ son Scott took over as president and continues to serve in that capacity. The rest of the team consists of: Denise Dietz, Scott’s wife of 35 years, who serves as company treasurer; fifth generation Dietz and Scott’s son, Christopher Dietz, who serves as the company’s vice president; and his wife Georgia who serves as secretary.

• The self-employed (59%) and small business owners (58%) were more likely than others to see reductions in marketing costs when using social media marketing.
Additionally, Social Media Marketing allows small business owners to best manage their time. These entrepreneurs play many roles in their companies and marketing is just one aspect of what they do. So it is important for the small business owner to maximize his/her time.

By spending as little as six hours a week with Social Media Marketing, you can see increased traffic to your site. Likewise, those who spend at least 6 hours per week, which appears to be the magic number, are almost twice as likely to see leads generated as those who spend 5 or fewer hours.

The key to writing good poetry lies in two stages. First, you must acquaint yourself with the best American and English poets of all time and study their work. Second, you must pinpoint the source(s) of inspiration from which you draw ideas, thoughts, feelings, and emotion and find ways outside everyday speech to express them. Simply put, your final verse should synthesize what you have learned and drawn from your studies and what you want to write about.
In regard to poetry, always keep in mind these three things:
There is no greater way to learn than to learn through example.
There are no greater examples than the poems written by famous, accomplished poets.
There are no greater teachers than the poets themselves.

Google Latitude, the search giant’s location-sharing mobile app, is launching checkin offers nationwide, giving users the ability to unlock discounts with a handful of launch partners.
Much like Foursquare and Facebook, Latitude now reveals different offers if a user checks in to locations hosting a Latitude deal. However, Google adds a twist to the traditional checkin offer with its “status” system. Offers such as 20% off at American Eagle Outfitters can only be unlocked with statuses such as Regular, VIP or Guru, although these titles are customizable by Google’s partners. They are acquired by checking in to a specific place multiple times.
Google’s initial list of partners includes Arby’s, Macy’s, RadioShack, Finish Line, Famous Footwear, Great Clips, Naturalizer, Tasti D-Lite, Quiznos, Wireless Zone, Cellairis, PostNet and American Eagle Outfitters. Quiznos is offering customers a free sub when they buy one of equal or greater value (and the title of “Champion of Taste”), while Finish Line is giving a $10 discount on purchases over $50. Most Latitude deals offer similar discounts.
Google only added checkins to Latitude recently, and the iPhone app only got checkins two weeks ago, so today’s announcement is rather aggressive. Google clearly understands that it’s way behind in the local deals space. It’s the same reason why Google tried (and failed) to acquire Groupon and why it’s building its own Groupon competitor.
Google’s new Latitude offers are available for Google Maps for Android (which includes Latitude) and for Latitude for iPhone, although its iOS app doesn’t include status level achievements yet.
